I just read this excellent article from the Kentishtowner, which is well worth a snoop for the film snippet of Prince Charles getting down with the kids at our local park in the 70s. http://www.kentishtowner.co.uk/2013/01/16/wednesday-picture-prince-charles-skateboarding-in-kentish-town-video/ Quite a giggle but also shows how he valued the work of the inspiring Interaction Trust who set up Kentish Town City Farm and were active in regenerating the area. This film was one of the gems from the farm’s recent 40th birthday exhibition of life in the local area and how the farm began. If you went along during the xmas hols you may have spotted these bright banners I created for the show which folks from the farm will also take along to festivals.
They were developed from art workshops I ran with children from Gospel Oak, Carlton and Fleet Primary Schools. Now, if you ever need banners, Sailflags are definitely the people to go to. http://www.sailflags.co.uk/ They were incredibly generous to the farm, giving us an impressive discount and also remaining fabulously calm when deadlines came, went, changed, changed back… you get the picture. The flags are a lovely quality and should have a good lifespan for the farm.
