Family learning at the Museum of London, Docklands

The Museum of London in the Docklands isn’t as well known as her big sister in the Barbican but you can get there on the DLR (driverless trains) and enjoy its free permanent exhibition of objects telling the history of trade on the River Thames, plus for families there is Mudlarks, a soft play for younger children and  interactive construction, treasure hunting and problem solving for over sevens.

There are also family events on Saturdays which is how I ended up running feltmaking workshops there from time to time, usually on a theme relating to the collections, but during December we are making xmas felt baubles and here are some beauties made by young visitors this weekend. If you missed this one, come along on Sat 22nd December at 12.30 or 2.30pm.
